Siemens Industrial Solutions and Services Group supply system for equipment automation and power of Pakistan Sheikhupura diesel power station. The contract total value is millions of Euros, granted from Germany Augsburg MANDieselSE Company. This diesel power station can produce 225mW  electricity and is scheduled to put into running on March ,2009.

    The station is located in Sheikhupura,near the Lahore. It is under construction by MANDiesel company and Pakistan Atlas Group . They are strategic partnership and assume the construction of four diesel power plants in 2012. The project is based on a proposal of the Pakistan Government in order to meet the country's growing energy needs. The Sheikhupura diesel power station will have 11 diesel generators units, per unit output power is 19MW, plus a 17MW steam turbine, which  will produce up to 225mW power to the electricity grid in northern Pakistan.

    Scope of Siemens supply includes electrical equipment, such as medium voltage and high-voltage transformers as well as all high, medium and low voltage distribution system. Automation of power stations will be implement with the help of a Siemens SimaticS7 diesel control concepts.
